The Canadian company is helping struggling businesses to repurpose their workspaces, rehire their employees, and help local communities.

Toronto, ON – Toronto-based company, Send Us Masks, is pleased to announce it is partnering with businesses shut down due to COVID-19 to repurpose their space and rehire their staff to create handmade face masks.
Send Us Masks is a startup company created by passionate business owners who were tired of the numerous online scams regarding face masks and the price-gouging that was occurring. The company works with shutdown businesses to manufacture handmade face masks, which are then sold to help recoup money to pay their rent and associated costs.
“As a collective, we couldn’t believe that people are trying to profit off of the devastating COVID-19 pandemic,” says Steve, one of the founders of Send Us Masks. “We knew we had to do something, especially since our own businesses had been shut down as per public health requests. So, we put our empty commercial spaces to use to start making face masks to sell at near breakeven margins, simply to cover the cost of materials, pay rent, and staff wages. We wanted to make this a community effort and, as such, we’ve been working with local businesses to help them do the same.”
The face masks manufactured by Send Us Masks are handmade and handsewn with high quality, washable, and reusable cotton materials. Uncomplicated, yet highly useful and fashionable, the masks created by the company are the ultimate accessory for current social distancing requirements. Masks are not medical grade covers and should not be utilized by healthcare professionals.
Masks are manufactured and shipped from both Toronto and Buffalo, making them readily available for consumers across North America.
