The company is founded and lead to the forefront by Pallavi Mukherjee, who has a firm foothold into the field of content since after her graduation (2013) which is almost a span of 7 years. She has a vast experience of working in PR companies to top-notch production houses while also having her practical lessons in content from companies like Thatscoop, Wittyfeed, Bollywood Masti before she started our her own venture, PopDiaries Pvt Ltd.
Hailing from the esteemed KC College, Mumbai, with a BMM degree and having had done her PGDM in Marketing and Advertising from Welingkars College Mumbai, she is indeed a woman who’s intellect knows no bounds. Pallavi has always been a Bollywood enthusiast, and has always wanted to be a free-spirited in her workspace, the combination of those desires is what gave rise to starting something of her own and she took the plunge when she was just 24, with her own money.
Talking about her challenges in meeting her goals in an interview on Startup Fortune, Pallavi expressed, “When you start a business, the money does matter but what matters even more is the efforts you put in. When I started PopDiaries, I knew I had to create a mark and give my audience something that will connect to them. I worked on the content, the photos, the graphics and presented the audience with a packaging of their daily news and updates in a manner they will like and, it wont be negative.
This helped me make my mark, once you make your mark, I believe money also follows. I still believe your growth will be slow without an investor but it will be the best kinda growth with your own creative freedom.”
As a bootstrap company, PopDiaries had many challenges but with Pallavi Mukherjee spearheading the whole venture, she had a vision that her content will bring a change in the world of media, as the company focusses on a positive way of representing gossips and entertaining audience with light hearted content. And, all that has been aptly delivered by the young 28-yr-old, enthusiastic entrepreneur recurringly throughout the years since its inception!
