Announcing the COVID 19 Wedding of the Year: Successful Business Owner Kiara Cancer Marries High School Sweetheart

Philanthropist, community leader and business owner Kiara Cancer announces that her wedding will take place on June 13, 2020. All proceeds will be donated to those impacted by COVID-19 and to Kiara’s non-profit organization ‘Women Inspiring Girls.’

Batesburg-Leesville, SC – Renowned business owner Kiara Cancer has announced that her upcoming wedding will take place at the Gala by JW in Columbia on June 13th at 4:00 pm, with 100 close friends and family in attendance. Legendary event planner Ladon Matthews (Events By Ladon) and world renowned international designer and coach Tonya Sturkie are helping the happy couple bring Hollywood to Columbia with a beautiful venue, and talented recording superstar Dondria of So So Def Recordings is scheduled to perform.

“I am super happy that my dream of marrying my high school sweetheart Julius Streater is coming true,” says Kiara. “We have changed the world together and we have three beautiful children. With all of the darkness going on in the world I wanted to shine a light on something positive and uplifting with our own beautiful love story!”

Kiara was recently recognized by Mayor Lancer B. Shull in honor of her 30th birthday on May 18th in a ceremony at the Batesburg-Leesville Town Hall. The proclamation was issued in recognition and gratitude for the many services that Kiara has performed for the community, including her donations of scholarships to graduating students, her ‘COVID-19 Give Back Fund’ initiative which resulted in donations of over $20,000 for those in need, and the success of her staffing agency ‘Extraordinary Headhunters’ which has resulted in employment for over 450 people and paid a million dollars in salary for employees in the South Carolina community.

Kiara was also recognized for her remarkable achievement in overcoming physical injury and personal hardship which fueled her efforts to attain personal success as well as the success of others.

A member of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council, the United Way Young Leader Society, and Women in Philanthropy and the Forbes Business Council, Kiara has also founded her own non-profit, ‘Women Inspiring Girls,’ through which she aims to support young girls as they become professionals and leaders.
